Gosunm Successfully Ships Customized Static DWS and 25-Port Z-Type Sorting Line
As global cross-border e-commerce continues to expand, overseas warehouses and fulfillment centers are facing increasing pressure to improve sorting accuracy, order processing efficiency, and warehouse automation capabilities. Recently, Gosunm successfully completed the production and shipment of a customized Static DWS system combined with a 25-port Z-type parcel sorting line for an overseas e-commerce logistics customer. This project once again demonstrates Gosunm's robust capabilities in custom non-standard automation, intelligent logistics system integration, and efficient distribution execution—particularly in the realm of global warehouse automation projects.

Customized Intelligent Sorting Solution for Complex Order Fulfillment

The client, primarily engaged in high-frequency e-commerce order fulfillment, required a sorting system capable of simultaneously supporting multiple order destinations while maintaining high throughput and stable performance. Based on the client's specific requirements, Gosunm designed and delivered a fully customized solution, comprising the following key components:

  • A static DWS (Dimensioning, Weighing, and Scanning) system integrated with conveyor belts
  • Intelligent order routing logic
  • Automated OCR-enabled order label printing functionality
  • WMS (Warehouse Management System) integration capabilities
  • A scalable PLC architecture designed to support future expansion and integration with production lines

The Z belt sorting system is engineered to process 1,000 to 2,500 parcels per hour, accommodating parcel weights ranging from 0.1 kg to 20 kg and maximum dimensions of 600 × 500 × 500 mm. To ensure future scalability, the control architecture features reserved PLC interfaces, enabling the client to expand the number of sorting exits from 25 to 50 ports during future warehouse upgrades. To enhance future scalability, the control architecture also incorporates reserved PLC interfaces, enabling customers to expand the number of sorting exits from 25 to 50 ports during future warehouse upgrades.

Intelligent Multi-Order Sorting Improves Warehouse Efficiency

One of the project's key highlights is the client's unique order sorting workflow.

The system includes:

  • 20 primary sorting exits
  • 5 auxiliary backup exits

When a customer order exceeds the capacity of a single sorting bin, the remaining items are automatically redirected to a backup exit for continued processing. Once an order is complete, the system automatically prints the corresponding order information, including:

  • Barcode data
  • Total parcel weight
  • Order identification information

This intelligent sorting logic significantly enhances sorting flexibility for high-volume e-commerce operations and minimizes manual intervention during the processing of multi-parcel orders. By integrating dynamic order allocation with automated data processing, the system enables overseas warehouses to achieve:

  • Higher order accuracy
  • Faster outbound processing
  • Reduced reliance on manual labor
  • Enhanced visibility into warehouse management

Seamless WMS Integration and Automated Label Printing

Modern e-commerce logistics operations require real-time communication between warehouse systems and automation equipment. To meet this demand, the Gosunm engineering team developed the system with full WMS integration capability, allowing real-time extraction and synchronization of order information from the customer's warehouse management platform. The system also supports automatic barcode label printing based on completed order data. Once an order is finalized, the system automatically generates and prints labels corresponding to the number of cartons included in the shipment. barcode labels, and the system intelligently routes products to the correct sorting destinations according to the linked order information. This fully automated workflow greatly reduces manual data entry while improving sorting accuracy and traceability.

Human-Centered Design Enhances Operational Experience

To improve operator interaction and warehouse workflow efficiency, Gosunm implemented several customized human-machine interaction functions requested by the customer.

Each sorting exit is equipped with:

  • Green confirmation button
  • Red completion indicator button
  • Full-load sensor detection system

When all items for an order have been successfully sorted, the red button automatically lights up to notify warehouse operators that the order is ready for collection. After replacing the basket, operators can press the green button to reactivate the station for the next order cycle. Additionally, every sorting port is designed with hanging hook structures, enabling sorting baskets to be securely mounted on the equipment frame for easier handling and improved workstation ergonomics. This combination of automation and ergonomic design helps optimize warehouse labor efficiency while minimizing operational errors.

Helping Global Warehouses Achieve Smarter Automation

With the rapid growth of global e-commerce and warehouse automation demand, intelligent parcel sorting systems are becoming essential infrastructure for modern fulfillment centers.

This shipment of the customized Static DWS and 25-port Z-type sorting line demonstrates how Gosunm helps customers solve critical warehouse challenges such as:

  • Multi-order sorting complexity
  • Labor-intensive operations
  • Order accuracy improvement
  • Warehouse scalability
  • Real-time data integration

By continuously investing in intelligent logistics technology and customized engineering capabilities, Gosunm remains committed to providing reliable, scalable, and high-performance automation solutions for customers worldwide.
