Recently, our company completed the production, testing, and acceptance of a fully automatic real-time printing and front-side labeling machine customized for an overseas client, and the equipment has been officially shipped. This equipment will be used in the client's parcel processing and information identification process, enabling real-time printing, precise application, and stable output of labels, further enhancing the automation and standardization of their logistics and business processes.

This project was developed strictly according to the client's actual usage requirements.  From label specifications and printing content logic to labeling accuracy and software communication methods, all aspects were thoroughly confirmed and reviewed during the initial stages of the project, ensuring that the equipment can be quickly put into use and operate stably after delivery.

Project Background and Application Scenarios


In the context of the continuous deepening of international logistics and the application of automation equipment, the accuracy, real-time nature, and consistency of label information have become crucial factors affecting business efficiency and data management. The customer hoped to achieve the following objectives by introducing a reliable real-time printing and labeling system:

  • Label information can be updated in real time based on business data.
  • Improve labeling position accuracy and reduce manual intervention.
  • The equipment structure is stable, facilitating future maintenance and expansion.
  • Seamless integration with existing automation control systems.

Based on the above requirements of the Saudi Arabian customer, Gosunm provided a real-time printing and front-side labeling solution, with targeted designs in terms of hardware structure, control logic, and software communication.

Core Equipment Configuration Specifications


The core equipment delivered is as follows:

  • Equipment Type: Fully Automatic Real-time Printing and Front Labeling Machine
  • Operating Mode: Standalone operation (not connected to a network)
  • Operating Direction: Left to right (standard direction)

This equipment is primarily used for printing and applying labels to the surface of packages, adapting to the customer's existing package specifications and business processes, while balancing efficiency and accuracy requirements.

During the equipment design and manufacturing process, our company strictly adheres to the project's technical requirements. The core parameters are as follows:

  • Processing efficiency: 1–15 pcs
  • Labeling accuracy: ±2 mm
  • Label size: 10.16 × 10.16 cm
  • Power requirements: 250 V
  • Equipment dimensions and table height: Customized based on digital model design

In the label content, only the fixed information remains unchanged; all other data is updated and printed in real time through the system, effectively meeting the customer's needs in scenarios with frequent business changes.

Software System and Control Integration Capabilities


At the software and control level, Gosunm also meets high technical requirements:

  • 1. The equipment software will directly interface with the customer's own system.
  • 2. Supports direct communication with Siemens S7-1500 PLCs.
  • 3. Labeling logic and data retrieval are designed based on the customer's business data structure.
  • 4.  Provides room for future functional expansion and system upgrades.

Currently, the basic development of the project software interface has been completed, and optimization is underway based on the customer's final confirmed software documentation, ensuring that the print and apply equipment can successfully complete system integration during the on-site commissioning phase.

Equipment Structure and Appearance Design


In terms of equipment structure and appearance, we also follow the customer's on-site usage environment and aesthetic requirements, implementing a customized approach:

  • The conveyor frame features an overall gray structural design.
  • The structure is compact, facilitating on-site installation and operation.
  • Key components are selected for stability and reliability, suitable for long-term operation.
  • The equipment operates smoothly with excellent noise control.

All appearance and structural designs are based on actual digital models and engineering drawings, ensuring functionality while also considering the standardization and safety of on-site use.

Strict Equipment Acceptance Standards

To ensure the quality of equipment delivery, Gosunm completed a comprehensive internal acceptance process before shipment, which mainly included:

  • 1. Equipment functions and configurations meet contract and technical requirements.
  • 2. No abnormalities were found during customer-provided sample testing.
  • 3. All configurations and selections are accurate and correct.
  • 4. The equipment operates smoothly overall, with no mechanical jamming.
  • 5. The software communication logic is clear, and the control response is stable.

After multiple rounds of testing and confirmation by engineers, the equipment met the shipping standards and successfully entered the delivery phase.
